Anatomy · Upper limb Musculoskeletal

A 24-year-old man is brought in after a motorcycle crash with a mid-shaft humeral fracture. He cannot extend his wrist or fingers. Sensation is reduced over the dorsum of the first web space. Which nerve is most likely injured?

Explanation The radial nerve winds through the spiral groove of the humerus, so a mid-shaft fracture puts it directly at risk. Losing it denervates the extensor compartment — hence wrist drop — and knocks out sensation over the first web space via its superficial branch.

Questions

Before you ask.

What does Jarkki cover?

The foundational sciences: anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and biochemistry. Every question is tagged by subject, module, topic and body system, so a session can be as broad or as narrow as you need.

Which school is it for?

Any of them. Jarkki teaches the foundational science, not one school’s syllabus — so it works wherever you’re studying, and whichever health degree you’re studying it for.

Do I have to pay?

No. The free tier includes the Daily Challenge, practice questions with explanations, and your Knowledge Genome. Pro removes the question limit and unlocks JARIS, the AI tutor.

What do season winners get?

Free Pro. Each season the top three performers and the biggest improver earn free months of Pro. It’s open to everyone, free and Pro alike, based purely on study performance — a subscription unlocks study features, it is not an entry fee.

Is there an iPhone version?

Android first. iOS is on the roadmap — join the waitlist and you’ll hear when it lands.

How do I delete my account?

From inside the app, or through the account deletion page linked in the footer. Deleting removes your account and your study data.
